 Fast and Easy Paragon Drive Backup Personal 9 seems to work great but I haven't tried to restore any files using it yet. I did have a momentary bit of problems trying to install it because I was using the trial version at first. Once I purchased the full version I was given the option to download a 32 bit version or the 64 bit version. I didn't know which one I was supposed to download that would work on my computer. Then during the first part of the installation I got a pop up screen that asked if I wanted to "restore", "Repair", or "remove" ...
Ease of use excellnt This software is very easy to use, if your a numty like me. Luckily I havn't had to use a back up to restore from a crash, so I can't say how well that section would work. But it was easy to back everything up and make a boot disk if it all went up in smoke.So, so far, very good.
 Paragon Drive Backup Personal 8 worked for me I thank this is a very good backup program . I wanted to try it before I bought it to see if it would work on a new large 320gb Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 SATA drive (updating from a 160gb ide hard drive). Downloaded the try before you buy program last night and installed the Paragon Drive Backup Personal 8 Trial version program and my Serial ATA card and new SATA hard drive.  Bad delivery and kernel is not fit OK, so JustBoot seems to be a repackaging of Paragon's Partition Manager (or rather a part of it).It shares the same stupid delivery method: why do I have to find a working Windows machine just to unpack an exe file that actually contains... an iso image? Thanks to Parallels...After that, JustBoot is unusable for me: the machine I want to backup uses a chipset that obviously is not known to the kernel used by Paragon: no hard disk, no keyboard and no mouse (probably no USB).This is *not* a Linux problem: most Linux Live CDs I tried ...

 physical drive copy. I was looking for a software that can copy a part or in totally an hard drive and copy it to another one. Sector by sector, whitout looking partition or any File System at all.  Review of R-Drive Image Used on a brand new desktop machine with Windows Vista. The program downloaded and installed well. Main problems I encountered were:1) (minor problem) drives don't highlight when clicked upon to choose for backup.2) (major problem) transition from first disk to second disk was very poorly handled by the dialog box. It simply reported that the disk was out of room, said NOTHING about inserting another disk and labeling the first disk with a volume number, and even the choices presented were nebulously labeled...leading to cancellation of the whole process and a waste of my time.3) I downloaded Acronis True ...

 Previously I had used Your 8.0 version for disc replacement, and it worked great. Too simple If it is just for backup it might do, but that wasn't the reason I wanted to use it.I uninstalled it 15 min after installing. Wanted to try to read a file I already backed up. Coud'nt browse to indicate were it was, your program only looks on DVD, streamers... To simple had the impression of typing with boxing gloves.

Love BackUp - hate the launch pad BackUp works well - and I like it. One improvement would be to rework how folders/files are selected for back up - I found that cumbersome. You should look at selecting which files to include from a checkbox list like a shopping list - that stays open until the selections are all complete (ie - multiple folders under My Documents - I don't want to backup - but I have to select the ones I do want as individual selections - which takes a long time.My bigger beef is with the Launch Pad - how do I unload ...
